TOXICS, the Association of CS & IS Inaugurated Inauguration of the activities of TOXICS , an association of Computer Science & Information Science students for the academic year 2009-10 was held on 7 Sept, 2009 at the college Seminar hall.
Awareness programme on ‘Climate Change Impact on Coastal India’ A week long awareness programme for the youth on ‘Climate Change Impact on Coastal India’ was held at our college seminar hall on 8 Sept, 2009 by the Association of British Scholars, Mangalore chapter, British Council, Chennai and Extension Education Wing, College of Fisheries, Mangalore.
Orientation Programme For the First year Engineering Students The three-day long orientation programme for the first year Engineering students was inaugurated in the college Seminar hall on 31 August, 2009. The programme began with the solemn lighting of the lamp by Dr. D.L. Prabhakara, the Principal, Dr. A.J.Antony Vice Principal, Mr. Devadas Hegde, the trustee in the presence of the heads of the various departments.
MoU with IIIT-A for Academic Co-Operation A unit of the Bhandary Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad (IIIT-A) on Monday,15 June. The signing was held at the seminar hall of the Sahyadri Institute in Adyar in the presence of Dr N D Tiwari, Director of IIIT-Allahabad, Manjunath Bhandary, chairman of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, and principal and administrator of the institute Dr D L Prabhakara.
Sahyadri Team Emerges Victorious in VTU Level Inter-Collegiate Sports Meet The college athletic team has won the Runners-Up Trophy (Men’s Section) in 12th VTU level Inter-Collegiate Inter-Zonal Athletic Sports Meet held at SDM Dharwad from 11 to 14 Nov, 2009 with 2 new records in High Jump & Discus Throw (Men’s section) . In this meet 97 colleges, had participated.
